This course at our Technology Training Centre in Aston, Birmingham is aimed at employees who are familiar with basic hydraulic and electro-hydraulic principles and are required to have a more in depth understanding of how proportional control systems work.  It is a useful course to develop an understanding prior to operating, maintaining and programming PLC systems and will cover theory aspects as well as practical exercises to demonstrate the underlying principles.

  • Course content
    • Hydraulic theory recap
    • Principles of Flow Control
    • Construction and operation of Proportional Spool Valves
    • Electrical solenoid theory
    • Proportional system control
  • Pre-requisites
  • Delegates should ideally have:

    • Basic understanding of Hydraulics and Fault Finding
    • Be familiar with Electro Hydraulic Systems (ideally level 2)
  • Assessment
  • No assessment but delegates receive a certificate of attendance

  • More details
