ISO50001 Internal Auditors Course
The aim of this course is to equip existing internal auditors of other management system standards with the knowledge and skills required to perform audits of energy management systems (EnMS) against ISO 50001, in accordance with ISO 19011, 17021 & 50003.
The course is delivered by an IRCA ISO50001 Principal Auditor who will explain how developing and systematically managing policies and procedures can improve energy efficiency, help to achieve targets, reduce energy costs and meet ESOS requirements.
Course content
Delegates will learn:
- The purpose and benefits of an energy management system
- The 'Plan Do Check Act' cycle in relation to ISO 50001
- The key requirements of ISO 50001
- Relevant UK legislation and regulations
- Case study exercises on terms & definitions, energy policy, energy review, energy baseline, EnPi’s, Energy objectives, targets & management plans, operational control.
Pre-requisites
Established management systems auditors and consultants who wish to conduct internal audits against ISO50001. Previous experience in the energy sector or within energy management is preferred but not essential.
Assessment
No formal end of course assessment but delegates will be assessed informally throughout the duration of the course.
