This accredited health and safety qualification introduces the principles and application of health and safety management with a view to preventing accidents and associated costs. This qualification will benefit organisations who are seeking to implement a health and safety management system.
This three day course is the perfect introduction to health and safety. It covers risk assessments and ways to control common workplace hazards such as fire, lifting and carrying, work equipment, electrical safety, hazardous substances and transport. It is relevant to team leaders, supervisors, HR professionals, facilities managers, or others who need to understand the principles and application of health and safety as part of their job.

Pre-requisites
There are no pre-requisites for this course.
Assessment
This course is assessed with a workplace health and safety review for Unit HSA1. This will include:
- Considering how health and safety is managed, and how it could be done better
- Identifying health and safety issues, how they are controlled and if the risk can be reduced
- Selecting the most important issue for improvement
This assessment must be carried out at your own workplace, or at a suitable premises if this is not possible.
