Emergency First Aid at Work Training
This 1-day course offers a great introduction to first aid training. This course is recommended for those who work in low-risk, office-based environments, and helps you meet the requirements set out in the Health and Safety regulations of 1981 by having the appropriate number of First Aiders in the workplace.
Emergency First Aid training is the first step towards saving a life and may prove useful for any member of the general public. Learners will leave with the confidence to deal with emergency life threatening situations in a competent way.

Course content
This course covers the following subjects:
- Role of a First Aider
- Priorities of First Aid
- Managing an Incident
- Causes and care of the unconscious casualt
- Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
- Bleeding and Shock
- Choking
- Burns and Scalds
- Anaphylaxis
- Manage the Transportation of a Casualty
- Record Keeping & Accident Reporting
- Practical demonstration and use of an AED
Assessment
Assessment is via a 20 multiple choice question paper at the end of the day. Following successful completion of the course, each student is awarded with a HSE recognised certificate which is valid for 3 years.
