NEBOSH HSE Introduction to Incident Investigation

Incident and accident investigation training is vital in helping any business deal with unexpected events in order to reduce their consequences. An effective investigation requires methodical, structured approach to information gathering, collation and analysis.

This 7-hour introductory course is ideal for anyone who wishes to carry out incident investigations effectively. The course will teach you how non-complex incidents can be investigated effectively as well as provide good incident investigation techniques.

Delegates will have 3 months to complete the training module.

Course content

INV1 – Introduction to Incident Investigation. This sole unit covers the entire course and provides essential knowledge and techniques to successfully investigate incidents in your workplace, making it safer for your company.

Assessment

You will undertake a practical assessment, this is completed at the end of the course. You will be provided with a pack of evidence including three witness interview videos.

You will be asked to review the evidence, evaluate each interview and produce an action plan that will help prevent a recurrence of an incident.
