Employers are likely to use your level of membership as key criteria for your appointment or promotion. Competence is vital for a health and safety practitioner and professional qualifications are really the only way you can acquire the necessary knowledge and skills. NEBOSH qualifications such as the NEBOSH General Certificate in Health and Safety and the NEBOSH National Diploma are probably the most widely known but there are other qualifications you can study, such as our Advanced Diploma. If you do shop around you’ll need to make sure they are reputable provider and accrediting body and that it’s aligned with IOSH membership.
