The Government has released their consultation response to the most recent British Industrial Competitiveness Scheme consultation on regulatory changes and scheme delivery. The response is focused on the practical implementation of the policy but does include a list of the eligible SIC/HS codes.

We are aware that this is an important issue for many of you and are looking to collate views, especially on problems regarding SIC/HS codes, before speaking with officials in the next week. As Government begins their process of eligibility applications, we will be on hand to provide help members to ensure that you have the best chance of securing necessary support.

As you will be aware, Make UK continues to campaign for an extension of the scheme to cover all 130,000 manufacturers and an expedition of implementation timelines to ensure that support reaches the whole sector and avoids creates winners and losers in an already difficult business environment.
