Make UK has joined more than 40 business organisations from across the UK in signing an open letter condemning antisemitism in all its forms and calling for collective action to tackle racism and intolerance in the workplace and wider society.
The letter, signed by CEO Stephen Phipson CBE and senior leaders from other organisations including the CBI, British Chambers of Commerce, Federation of Small Businesses and Institute of Directors, states that antisemitism “has no place in modern Britain” and highlights the unacceptable levels of fear and discrimination experienced by many Jewish people today.
As part of the commitment, signatories have pledged to take a zero-tolerance approach to antisemitism in their workplaces, proactively speak out against hate, improve understanding through diversity and inclusion programmes, and support Jewish colleagues.
By signing the letter, Make UK is reaffirming its commitment to fostering safe, inclusive and respectful workplaces across the manufacturing sector and standing against all forms of racism and discrimination.
The letter also calls on business leaders across the UK to work together to challenge antisemitism and help create a more inclusive society for everyone.
