Course content
Safer recruitment is designed to help those who are responsible for hiring anyone who works with children and adults at risk, to identify and deter or reject individuals who are deemed to be at risk of abusing children and adults at risk.
It’s crucial that all employers have a recruitment policy in place that takes into account safer recruitment best practices and considerations. This course covers key topics, including: advertising, application forms, selecting candidates for interview based on the information they have presented, and post-interview checks before making an offer of employment.
This Safer Recruitment course helps you to be compliant with the Keeping Children Safe in Education legislation, and you’ll find out how this applies in the workplace or when working with children and young people.
Recruitment of staff is now a complex process and there are many issues that need to be considered to ensure safe and successful recruitment, to reduce, in turn, the risk of harm, abuse and neglect of adults and children.
Duration
Approximately 2 hours. The length of time taken depends entirely on how quickly you can study and absorb the material. The course is self-paced; you do not have to complete all the training in one session.

Assessment
