Electrical Fitting and Assembly Apprenticeship Unit


The Make UK Electrical Fitting & Assembly Apprenticeship Unit is designed to help existing engineering operatives and technicians develop core electrical engineering skills.

Delivered over approximately three weeks, the unit provides around 80 hours of focused training, covering key electrical fitting and assembly skills, alongside electrical fundamentals, wiring industrial and single-phase systems, safe working practices, and practical installation skills.

With the minimum time away from the workplace, the unit offers a flexible and efficient way for employers to strengthen their engineering workforce and address key skills needs.

Course pre-requisites

This unit is for employed engineering operatives and technicians aged 19 and over who need upskilling quickly in electrical fitting and assembly.

This unit will not qualify attendees as a competent electrician in accordance with the Electricity at Work Regulations 1989.
