Mechanical Fitting and Assembly Apprenticeship Unit


The Mechanical Fitting & Assembly Apprenticeship Unit is designed to help engineering operatives and technicians develop core mechanical engineering skills.

Developed with the needs of the modern manufacturer in mind, and for those who want to address the skill gaps and improve capabilities within existing teams, the unit provides focused, practical training in key areas including mechanical fitting fundamentals, assembly techniques, hand skills, and safe working practices.

The unit is delivered over approximately three weeks and includes around 89 hours of training. It covers all the necessary knowledge and skills, giving employees the opportunity to develop valuable skills with minimum time away from the workplace.

Course pre-requisites

This unit is for employed engineering staff and technicians aged 19 and over who need to be upskilled quickly in mechanical fitting and assembly.
