This one day course for senior leaders and executives is focussed on delivering the knowledge and skills that drive improvements in productivity, increase profitability, enhance corporate reputation and strengthen the brand through effective leadership of the health and safety agenda.

The aim of this CQI and IRCA Certified Training course is to provide delegates with the knowledge and skills required to perform first, second and third-party audits of occupational health and safety management systems against ISO 45001, in accordance with the auditing standards ISO 19011 and ISO 17021.

The diploma will benefit managers, advisers, consultants and others with a specialist environmental or sustainability role, who wish to build their strategic knowledge and skills. It addresses a wide range of environmental and sustainability issues, including technological options for control, effective strategies and change management.

Delegates will learn practical techniques to improve interaction with staff, clients and managers by adopting a constructive and assertive behavioural style. It will help people understand why they respond to particular situations in a passive or aggressive way and how to respect their own rights and those of others. Assertion is a life skill, therefore the course will also benefit attendees outside of the workplace.

This course qualifies delegates as a Mental Health First Aider with MHFA (Mental Health First Aid) England. It teaches people how to spot the signs and symptoms of mental ill health and provide help on a first aid basis. It’s suitable for anyone who wants to better support and understand their employees’ or colleagues’ mental health and for companies that want to demonstrate their commitment to equality between mental and physical health.

This highly practical course on how to work with trade unions provides the necessary knowledge for those who need to work with unions or their members and gives delegates the opportunity to put learning into practice in a safe environment. Due to the decline in union membership, many line managers and HR professionals have little or no experience of working within a unionised environment. However, union recognition is now increasing and union members and their representatives have extensive rights in the workplace, whether or not the union is officially recognised. Delegates will be educated in how to use these rights.

This three-day programme is designed to equip aspiring or newly appointed Team Leaders with the necessary knowledge, skills and behaviours to be effective in their roles and to lead, organise and motivate a team.
