An introductory course covering the fundamentals of managing fire risks providing the knowledge to identify fire risks and ensure effective controls and evacuation procedures are in place.

This one-day course will introduce delegates to the lean techniques of 5S and 5C and examine the application and benefits of these effective methodologies. The programme is designed for managers, team leaders, supervisors, quality engineers, production engineers, design engineers and technical apprentices. Delegates will learn how to apply 5S to improve workplace safety and increase operator morale, quality, cleanliness, safety and throughput. They will learn how 5C can eliminate or reduce the impact of the seven wastes in the working environment.

This one-day course introduces delegates to six sigma in its main forms: define, measure, analyse, improve and control (DMAIC) and lean six sigma. It will enable participants to improve the quality of process outputs by removing the causes of defects and minimising variability in manufacturing and business processes.

This one-day modular course will assist duty holders in meeting the Electricity at Work Regulations to ensure safety. It is particularly relevant to engineers, including those involved in design, construction, operation or maintenance of electrical systems; technicians and their managers; electricians and electrical installers, and managers and supervisors with responsibilities for electrical equipment. It is expected that delegates will have basic UK health and safety awareness and also some knowledge of the danger from electricity.

This five-day practical course introduces delegates to systematic fault finding techniques. It is suitable for people working with electrics who require an understanding of industrial electrics (415 volt – 3 phase). All candidates will build an industrial board, using circuit diagrams provided. They will also apply fault finding techniques to remedy common faults.
