This one-day abrasive wheels training course is designed for employees and apprentices who change and mount abrasive wheels. Offered through either our state of the art Technology Training Centre in Aston, Birmingham or on your factory floor, the course will cover all aspects of the safe use of abrasive wheels and meets the training requirements under the PUWER 1998 Regulations.

Designed for non – Environmental specialists at a managerial / supervisory level, this 2 day course supports managers and supervisors in understanding the strategic and operational implications environmental sustainability has on them, their team and department, enabling them to contribute to the improved environmental sustainability of their organisation.

This course is designed to enable candidates to demonstrate welding skills typically found in industry and associated underpinning knowledge to a level that will enable them to complete welded joints in simple welding positions.

The two-day portable appliance testing course is aimed at those responsible for the maintenance of electrical equipment and anybody who undertakes practical inspection and testing of electrical equipment, in particular portable appliances. This nationally recognised qualification is designed to provide expertise and focus on the IEE Code of Practice for in-service inspection and testing of electrical equipment. It also provides guidance on the practical aspects of carrying out portable appliance testing.

Delegates will learn practical techniques to improve interaction with staff, clients and managers by adopting a constructive and assertive behavioural style. It will help people understand why they respond to particular situations in a passive or aggressive way and how to respect their own rights and those of others. Assertion is a life skill, therefore the course will also benefit attendees outside of the workplace.

This three-day introduction to hydraulics course is designed to give instruction and practice of components, circuit construction and fault finding techniques for hydraulics. Delegates will develop a practical knowledge of component identification, circuit design, function and systematic hydraulic fault finding techniques. This course is aimed at maintenance personnel, as well as individuals required to work with hydraulics.

All businesses need to have an effective policy and procedure in place to deal with issues of Discrimination and in particular harassment and bullying. This half day course explains the basics of the Law in this area and focuses on avoiding bullying, harassment and inappropriate behaviour. It is suitable for all those with responsibility for policy/procedure development and handling complaints from employees.

This practical course will show attendees how to take more control of their time through use of proven tools and techniques that enable prioritisation. Poor time management can lead to missed deadlines, a reduction in work quality and feelings of being overwhelmed. Behaviours that encourage good time management and prioritisation will also be addressed.
