At BOAL Extrusion UK, we design, extrude, machine and finish custom aluminium profiles with precision and care - entirely made in Britain.
How we will be involved with National Manufacturing Day:
On Tuesday 22 September, ahead of National Manufacturing Day 2026, we’re opening the doors of our plant in Shepshed to Level 3, T-Level students from the Loughborough College Group.
They won’t just hear about aluminium extrusion. They’ll get to see it happen! From our engineering department, to our die shop and our production floor, they’ll follow how aluminium goes from an idea to a profile coming off the press, and meet the people who make it all happen - every day.
We’ll get the students involved in hands-on engineering activities and encourage them to ask as many questions as they like along the way. And perhaps they’ll discover a side of manufacturing they hadn’t expected.
Of course, the day isn’t only about showing how things are made. It’s about showing where making things could take them. An apprenticeship, a role in engineering or production, or one of the many other technical career paths within the aluminium industry.
