How we are taking part
One Step North builds bespoke, 360° virtual platforms, and for National Manufacturing Day, we're opening the doors of the ExpoVerse, our virtual exhibition hall for Wales' manufacturing and engineering sector.
Sponsored by Manufacturing Wales, visitors can walk the hall and explore ten featured manufacturing and engineering company booths, with information on careers, apprenticeships and job opportunities at each.
We're also launching a new interactive 3D business directory, mapping manufacturers from across Wales so visitors can discover employers in their own area, alongside a sector insights report and three expert speaker sessions on the future of manufacturing. This sits alongside Careers in 360, our free platform helping young people and jobseekers across Wales explore over 600 careers in one interactive world.
Beyond the event itself, we work with manufacturers directly to build 3D product explorers, virtual facility tours and induction platforms, giving businesses their own space to showcase products, bring new starters up to speed, or open their doors to people who can't visit in person, all year round.
Because it's entirely virtual, it's open to anyone, anywhere, including people who couldn't otherwise make it to a physical event: schools, colleges, jobseekers and businesses across Wales and beyond.
