If you’re still not sure what you want to do in September, the good news is it’s still not too late to get onto an apprenticeship programme that will shape the future of your career. Remember – this is a route to an amazing career where you “earn as you learn”.

An apprenticeship is a fantastic way into the manufacturing and engineering sectors. These are undergoing a massive digital transformation to the 4th Industrial Revolution and need talented people to come into the sector to support this transformation.

What does this revolution in engineering and manufacturing mean? It means digital printing, robotics, smart engineering including cloud computing, digital twins, generative computer-aided (CAD) design as well as collaborative robots. Digital factories are already transforming how we build things in Britain and the use of big data is revolutionising production lines.

With in-depth knowledge of what skills manufacturing and engineering businesses need, complementary apprentice mentoring and advice, and a dedicated training centre offering world-class facilities and expert teaching, EEF has given thousands of apprentices a head start in their manufacturing and engineering careers.
Interested in apprenticeships, but not sure what type is right for you?

EEF loves meeting young people considering a manufacturing and engineering apprenticeship and now that you have your results it is the perfect time to come and explore what is on offer.

They are also a great opportunity to talk to trainers and the recruitment team to find out what apprenticeships and training is really like. You’ll get a behind-the-scenes tour of the multi-million-pound facility, including a close up of our dozens of state-of-the-art machines – just like the ones you’ll be operating during your apprenticeship.

EEF has a number of apprenticeship roles available for September starts and is holding an open day on Thursday 16th September at its state of the art training facility in Birmingham. The event runs from 8am – 8pm and they will have the expert  team on hand to help with your application.

To find out more about attending then visit our Open Day page. If you can’t make this event but want some advice then please call one of the recruitment team on 0121 344 7994.
