The morning after the night before.

With trophies handed out and certificates on the mantelpiece, congratulations to everyone who took part in celebrating the brilliance of UK manufacturing.

From best-in-class manufacturers to rising star Apprentices, The Make UK National Awards Gala Dinner celebrates them all. But which entries sparkled brightest in front of the Judges? Click here for a full list of winners

In impressive surroundings at East Wintergarden, Canary Wharf, over 260 attendees representing the very best of UK Manufacturing were joined by compere Jason Bradbury (who arrived on one of his own creations - the world’s first working, jet-powered hover board).

Setting new standards of excellence

SME of the Year went to Universal Wolf based in Tyne and Wear. Having won the Business Growth & Strategy category earlier in the evening, the judges described their story as exceptional, following dramatic business growth, a company rebrand and significant investment in staff training and development.

David Nieper Ltd achieved recognition in a number of categories and were eventually crowned Manufacturer of the Year.   A family run fashion business from Derbyshire, judges praised the remarkable and consistent long term performance and their commitment to sustainability.  Demonstrated by their research into carbon neutrality; achieving zero waste to landfill status; and installing solar panels and rainwater tank,

The judges also acknowledged their dedication to developing future generations with work experience placements for secondary school children, to offering scholarships to help university students pursue a career within fashion and textiles.

In all 14 apprentices from across the country were recognised for their outstanding contributions and promising futures and further 17 business awards were given out across six categories including: Innovation, Health & Safety, Sustainability, Leadership, Business Growth & Strategy, and Developing Future Talent.

Congratulations to everyone shortlisted!
