The Chancellor has just announced an extension to the furlough scheme to the end of June 2020.
We have updated our FAQs on furlough leave to reflect this extension and other amendments arising from the publication of the new Treasury Direction which sets out further technical details.
Frustratingly, there are inconsistencies between the Government guidance and the Treasury Direction and we are, therefore, continuing to press Government for clarity. We understand that additional Government guidance is expected within the next week.
We encourage all members to refer to our FAQs as a first port of call for information on the Scheme as we continue to update them on a regular (presently almost daily!) basis to reflect the evolving Government guidance.
