2 April 2019

Award-winning venue, Make Venues Woodland Grange, has achieved Gold Status for the IACC 2019 Code of Sustainability. The accolade is the venue’s first since the launch of its new brand Make Venues in February, and comes just months after it became a member of the IACC.

The accreditation is the latest in a long line of awards for the Make Venues team. In January the group received two BVA BDRC Venue Verdict Awards for the sixth consecutive year and it looks as though 2019 will see it continue to build on its reputation for industry-leading service.

David Vaughton, Managing Director of Make Venues commented: “It’s been an extremely busy and exciting year for us already. This is a great achievement and underlines our commitment to not only our customers and staff, but also the environment and surroundings within which we work. I’m extremely proud of the Woodland Grange team’s hard work in achieving the Gold Status and remaining at the forefront of sustainability. I have every confidence that we’ll continue to lead the way under the Make Venues brand.”

IACC has a rigorous Code of Sustainability which covers 60 tenets, including; Education, Awareness & Public Declaration, Waste Management, Recycling, Reuse, Water Conservation, Purchasing, Energy Management, Air Quality, and Food & Beverage. The association monitors and updates the Code periodically in order to ensure that it reflects state-of-the-art best practices.

Last month EEF Venues rebranded to create Make Venues, a new and dynamic branding which recognises the business’ continual development as one of the leading names in the UK venue market.
