This one-day practical welding course will give delegates the skills and knowledge required to produce welded joints using oxy-acetylene welding equipment. Through short classroom sessions and hands-on training in welding techniques, the course will enable delegates to safely set up oxy-acetylene welding equipment and to produce welds. It is ideal for maintenance engineers, engineers and those who wish to use oxy-acetylene welding equipment. The course content can be used to support NVQ programmes.

This 4½ day Quality and Business Improvement Techniques training will develop the delegates’ knowledge and skills of Lean principles to help them take a more integrated approach to Continuous Improvement in their workplace. Through completing this course, the delegates will gain an in-depth understanding of how to analyse any process and then how to begin implementation of the improvements in the workplace.

This seminar will help attendees to understand more about Authorised Economic Operator (AEO) “trusted trader” status – what it is, how to go about achieving it and the financial and supply chain benefits it can bring. It will cover the important place AEO has in the Union Customs Code (UCC) and the increased relevance that gaining AEO accreditation may have following Brexit. Normally only available to the largest manufacturing companies, this 4½ day Introduction to Lean training will immerse delegates in both Lean principles and practical application of the basic techniques used to improve manufacturing processes and productivity.

This one-day course will introduce delegates to the lean techniques of 5S and 5C and examine the application and benefits of these effective methodologies. The programme is designed for managers, team leaders, supervisors, quality engineers, production engineers, design engineers and technical apprentices. Delegates will learn how to apply 5S to improve workplace safety and increase operator morale, quality, cleanliness, safety and throughput. They will learn how 5C can eliminate or reduce the impact of the seven wastes in the working environment.

This half-day course provides practical guidance on the management of electrical safety for people working on construction and refurbishment projects, or undertaking maintenance activities.
